Beatport.io, the music-focused digital marketplace by Beatport, is advancing further into the Web3 space with a newly announced collaboration. This time, the platform has joined forces with electronic music duo Disclosure for the release of a non-fungible token (NFT) collection, celebrating one of the duo’s latest songs, “Simply Won’t Do.”
Named “Disclosure – Bronze Editions,” the collection comprises 1,000 NFTs. Each NFT contains an exclusive, unheard version of the original song and is accompanied by a unique artificial intelligence (AI)-generated visual artwork.
The distinctive song versions were crafted using Bronze’s AI technology, which reinterpreted and modified musical elements from the original track. The visual counterparts are also a product of AI, as Bronze’s advanced audio-visual translation process transformed sounds into 3D visual forms by turning music frequencies into RGB color values.
The collection, featuring each NFT priced at $20, will be accessible starting today, December 12, on the Beatport NFT platform. Buyers of these NFTs become exclusive owners of a one-of-a-kind track, never to be reproduced or available elsewhere, along with the accompanying custom artwork.
Beatport.io, launched earlier this year on Aventus, a parachain in the Polkadot ecosystem, has gained widespread popularity, forming many partnerships with influential musical artists.
In July, Beatport.io released its first NFT collection, “NACHTS,” paying tribute to Berlin’s techno scene by showcasing over 175 personalities through images and videos captured by photographer and bouncer Mischa Fanghaenel.
More recently, last month, Beatport.io introduced “KINSHIP,” an exclusive NFT collection and documentary honoring HE.SHE.THEY.’s 5-year legacy, celebrating diversity and inclusivity.
