The highly anticipated NFT collection “Elementals” by renowned blue-chip NFT project Azuki was released on Tuesday and sold out within an astonishing 15 minutes.
The collection, which was unveiled last week, pays homage to four elements of nature: Fire, Water, Earth, and Lightning.
On June 27, 2023, the sale of the 10,000 NFTs comprising the collection commenced. Prior to the public sale, Azuki and Beanz holders were granted exclusive access during the presale period. Out of the total collection, 7,600 NFTs were minted for Azuki holders, while the remaining NFTs were allocated to Beanz holders, effectively bypassing the public sale process.
The minting of the Elementals NFTs generated a staggering sum of 20,000 ETH, equivalent to just over $38 million. As of the time of writing, the OpenSea marketplace reflects a minimum listing price of 1,675 ETH, approximately $3,100.
On the sold-out day, lucky NFT holders were able to finally unveil their collectibles: animated characters representing one of the four natural elements that define the collection.
With the successful sale of the collection, Azuki has secured the top position among NFT collections in both the past 24 hours and the past 7 days. According to CoinMarketCap data, the project has achieved an all-time volume of 27,861.95 ETH, equivalent to approximately $51,190,408, and an all-time floor price of 9 ETH, approximately $16,536.
