Warner Music Group (WMG), one of the “big three” record labels and the third-largest in the global music industry, has announced a collaboration with leading NFT marketplace OpenSea to boost its Web3 initiatives.
The partnership would provide WMG artists early access to OpenSea’s new drops product, as well as personalized storytelling on customized landing pages and a dedicated drop page to showcase limited-edition projects.
As such, WMG artists would be able to create new Web3 communities while also introducing current fan groups to new kinds of interaction and creation fueled by NFTs.
The first collection is now in the works with Warner Records UK in cooperation with Web3 startup Probably Nothing.
This collaboration is another step made by the WMG to bring music to the new space and a new way of interaction and entertainment. This follows earlier initiatives, such as its collaboration with POAP to offer digital collectibles minted as NFTs to mark important events and Warner Records UK’s partnership with Bose to launch the Stickmen Toys NFT collection.
