VeeFriends, an NFT project founded by entrepreneur Gary Vee, has teamed up with sportswear brand Reebok to introduce an exclusive pair of sneakers for non-fungible token (NFT) holders.
These sneakers are dubbed the Aspiring Alpaca Classic Nylon, a unique combination of the Aspiring Alpaca character, one of the 283 hand-drawn VeeFriends characters by Gary Vaynerchuk, and the Classic Nylon design, which draws inspiration from Reebok’s classic heritage silhouette dating back to 1991.
The sneakers boast a nylon upper complemented by suede overlays and feature the VeeFriends logo on the window box. Additionally, the tongue showcases the original Series 1 drawing of the Aspiring Alpaca character.
Priced at $90, the sneakers will first be available through an exclusive presale dedicated to VeeFriends Series 1 and Series 2 NFT holders, beginning on August 17. Afterward, they will be available for purchase worldwide starting from August 24.
Reebok’s interest in the Web3 space is not new. In 2022, the company had already shown its intentions by submitting two trademark applications for its name related to the metaverse and NFTs.
Gary Vee has been at the forefront of the Web3 space for quite some time. In January 2022, he announced the creation of Flyfish Club (FFC), the first NFT restaurant set to open in New York. Additionally, he organized VeeCon, his first NFT ticketed event.
