The ‘LoveITDetroit’ exhibit-installation has also a virtual replica in the metaverse.
In celebration of the VI edition of Italian Design Day and as part of the campaign to promote Italian design in Detroit, the Italian Consulate in Detroit launched the exhibition-installation as a celebration of Made in Italy in the United States.
Throughout September, visitors can see the installation at 1001 Woodward Avenue, in the Bedrock space. This work brings together the best Italian brands from sectors that are characterized by Italian creativity worldwide, such as fashion, food, furniture, automotive, and others.
On 7 September, Wedoo inaugurated the ‘LoveITDetroit Metaspace‘ in parallel with the Detroit exhibition. As the ‘digital twin,’ it will be a replica of the physical installation. It will give users the opportunity to interact with the installation experience and the objects that are part of it.
People from all over the world will be able to participate in the event and celebrate the Italian culture in this way. This is most likely the metaverse’s intent: to let individuals, particularly those who couldn’t otherwise take part in events, engage with others, and feel a part of a community.
