The Solana Foundation, a non-profit organization that is overseen by the blockchain platform Solana, has launched a competition called “NFT Showdown” with the aim of promoting the next generation of NFT brands.
This contest provides an opportunity for enterprising creators within the Web3 community to showcase their creations in a pitch and get visibility and support.
The pitch should outline the target audience, the issue addressed by the product or service, community engagement plans for the short and long term, and how Solana NFT technologies can boost the project.
Submissions are to be made on the dedicated website between June 5 and June 9, 2023, with the submission period ending at 12 am PST on June 9.
Ten winners will be chosen from the participants and will receive various benefits, including mentorship with industry experts, workshops with NFT leaders, and office hours with the Solana team.
This is yet another Solana initiative aimed at motivating Web3 creators and ensuring a seamless experience. The company recently introduced “state compression,” a system that reduces on-chain storage requirements for NFTs, resulting in lower costs for creators and buyers.
