The team behind Web2 ticketing platform Seatedly has announced the release of Seatlab, an NFT-based event ticket system that allows artists and event organizers to instantly create and mint NFT tickets.
Right now, Seatlab is available in its beta version, and anyone interested in creating and minting NFTs can create a profile on the website. Once registered, users can create a new event, add the necessary details (such as time, date, name, description, etc), add ticket information (such as availability, price, etc), add visuals, and much more.
Through the dashboard, artists and event organizers will also be able to view and track data about sales, new clients, website views, and more.
Furthermore, the system also allows users to set royalties for all secondary sales, allowing fans to purchase tickets at a fair price while allowing artists and organizers to earn more revenue on every ticket sold.
Ticket creators can also use the marketplace to create unique NFTs that can be airdropped to ticket holders during or after events to incentivize their audiences. Separate from the NFT ticket itself, these collectibles can be visual or audible NFTs that can be awarded to all ticket holders, displayed as a memory of the event, or resold afterward.
“It is the time to further evolve the ticketing industry and use our development and ticketing software expertise to take advantage of blockchain technology and solve some of the most significant issues we see in ticketing today,” said Ryan Kenny, CEO of SeatlabNFT.
