PwC Hong Kong has established a collaboration agreement with metaverse technology company TerraZero Technologies.
Through this collaboration, the companies will explore ways for businesses to engage new audiences in the metaverse through virtual, immersive experiences. There will be a focus on developing B2B, B2G, and B2C applications, as well as privately hosted metaverse experiences.
Risk management – including user privacy, data security, cybercrime, payments, tax, and financial crime – will be a priority element in the development of these new experiences. By doing so, PwC and Terrazero will be able to create experiences that users can trust.
A PwC publication describes the metaverse as having gone from concept to working reality in a short time. It goes on to say that creating a metaverse experience requires knowing what it is, what the opportunities are, and whatever challenges and risks it may present.
There is no doubt that the $1 trillion expected metaverse market could be a new way for businesses to communicate and attract new clients, as well as a way for people to enjoy life in a new, immersive way, including socializing, shopping, and requesting services.
