ActivTrak, a cloud-based workforce analytics software provider, today revealed its top 10 future of work predictions for 2023.
Despite mentioning more flexible working hours, more intense attention on data privacy, and workforce analytics, ActivTrak named new technologies as the year’s leader.
In particular, the metaverse and Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools will be key players.
These can, in reality, reduce workers’ workloads and stress levels by performing heavy and repetitive tasks, while allowing them to focus on improvements and innovation.
AI tools will be supplemented by Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) devices and technologies that will allow employees to immerse themselves in 3D environments where they can learn and practice.
The metaverse can, in fact, offer a safe environment in which employees can experiment without fear of making irreversible mistakes.
Meetings, conferences, seminars, and training are also expected to take place in virtual spaces.
With the advancement of VR headsets and related gadgets, individuals will be able to enjoy a more engaging experience. Nonetheless, despite their infancy, the metaverse and virtual reality are already being seen as components that will be part of workplaces beginning in 2023, with widespread acceptance expected in the coming years.
