Following the success of previous releases, Manchester City FC is continuing its adventure in the non-fungible token (NFT) space by announcing its seventh drop.
The latest release, dubbed “Space Ballers,” comprises a one-of-a-kind artwork design created in collaboration with artist Jonathan Nash.
The digital artwork portrays City astronauts refining their abilities in an extraterrestrial training facility on their journey to the blue moon. It portrays football training in a fun and imaginative way while showing the accuracy and passion behind City’s playing style.
The Space Ballers artwork will be available for purchase on April 25 at 8:30 p.m. BST through MakersPlace, a marketplace for sharing and collecting rare digital pieces.
The Space Ballers NFT drop comes after the football club’s sixth release in March in honor of International Women’s Day. The collection was created with the NFT project Power Of Women to honor the passion and diversity of women in football.
Apart from NFT space, Manchester City has been highly active in the metaverse; this week, Manchester City’s captain joined with OKX to build a metaverse football educational experience, “Make Your Play.” This year, the football club also celebrated Easter with a one-of-a-kind Easter Egg hunt on ‘Blue Moon,’ the Manchester City’s personalized experience on Roblox.
