Magic Eden and Ordlify have partnered to streamline the creation and sale of Bitcoin non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
This collaboration allows users to leverage Ordlify’s Creator Studio to design, manage, and inscribe their Ordinals collections. Once completed, creators can instantly connect with Magic Eden’s marketplace for secondary sales.
Shafiu Hussain, CEO and Co-Founder of Ordlify, highlighted the challenges many creators face when launching an Ordinals collection with recursion, especially for the first time.
“Integrating with Magic Eden makes the process much easier, allowing artists to go from concept to market in hours after finalizing their inscriptions, not weeks or months. We’re removing barriers and making ordinals more accessible to non-technical creatives,” he said.
This initiative is part of Magic Eden’s ongoing efforts to promote Bitcoin Ordinals’ adoption. The company has been at the forefront of this movement since its launch of a Bitcoin-focused NFT marketplace in March 2023.
In April 2024, Magic Eden took another significant step by integrating Runes, which aims to streamline Bitcoin transactions.
Bitcoin NFTs have shown impressive performance since their inception, often outperforming historical competitors like Solana and Ethereum. In December 2023, Bitcoin NFTs hit an all-time high, concluding the year with record-breaking sales exceeding $881 million.
In March of this year, Bitcoin-based NFT sales surged past $500 million, with NodeMonkes and Bitcoin Shrooms leading these sales.
According to CryptoSlam data, Bitcoin-based NFT sales for June closed at $116,397,980. Although this isn’t a peak performance, it still surpassed Solana’s $68,220,810 for the same month and came close to Ethereum’s $139,526,270.
