Bulgari revealed its new metaverse concept: building a private metaverse platform as a clear signal of the brand’s future path during VivaTech 2022, an international technology conference dedicated to innovation and entrepreneurship hosted in Paris.
Bulgari’s proposal, in particular, strives to honor the magnificence of a futuristic Rome and its sunsets while enhancing Bulgari’s historic aesthetic traits.
The virtual transposition of Experiency’s concept, developed in collaboration with the 101games team and powered by Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 5, will be available exclusively at the LVMH Pavilion.
“As a luxury brand that has made the crossing of borders its DNA, continuously expanding the vision of our creative universe is intrinsic to our nature”, says Jean-Christophe Babin, CEO of Bulgari Group. “This is the beginning of a new journey that invites our customers to share, through the metaverse, an entirely new experience of luxury, inspired by our original values that have their roots in Italian excellence”.
Bulgari also revealed during the conference that its “Octo Finissimo Ultra” watch, dubbed the world’s thinnest mechanical watch and available in a limited edition of ten pieces, combines the physical and digital worlds.
The owner of each timepiece receives access to a special NFT artwork that certifies the watch’s authenticity, transforming the watch into a global ecosystem that extends beyond the physical.
