DART – Dynamic Art Museum, presents two new collective exhibitions that will take place from 23rd November 2021 to 6th February 2022 at the Permanente Museum in Milan, Italy.
One of these two exhibitions will be “2121”, its first museum exhibition dedicated to Crypto Art.
As stated on the official website, ” “2121” explores the present with an eye toward the future, including works by artists that, in a short period of time, present new ideas and perspectives about how artwork should be conceived, created, enjoyed, and transmitted.”
Crypto art encompasses all forms of creation that involve the creation of digital works, or the digitization of physical works, through blockchain and NFT (Not-Fungible Token) systems, which enable the works to be identified by a specific set of digital attributes, ensuring their authenticity.
This exhibition will feature a variety of artists, including emerging, blue chip (the term used to describe established artists in the NFT field), and OG (Old Guy, used to identify those artists who first started working in the NFT field).
The artists of the Crypto Art exhibition
Here are some of the Crypto Art exhibition’s artists:
- Kevin Abosch is an Irish conceptual artist and pioneer in crypto art known for his works in photography, blockchain, sculpture, installation, AI, and film.
- Alexy Préfontaine, aka Aeforia, is a 3D artist from Montreal, Canada. His work is all about colors, balance, and emotion.
- Alotta Money is a French pioneering crypto artist and ‘NFT Machine’ who produces a wide range of digital art.
- CryptoPunks, a non-fungible token collection on the Ethereum blockchain. Matt Hall and John Watkinson launched the project in June 2017.
- XCOPY, London-based digital artist and crypto enthusiast and one of the early artists to delve into the crypto art space.
