Italian high-end luxury fashion house Gucci has announced its foray into the metaverse with Gucci Vault Land.
The experience, which is hosted in The Sandbox metaverse, would allow users to learn more about Vault, Gucci’s experimental concept shop that merges past, present, and future. The virtual land focuses on vintage Gucci pieces, NFT art collectors, and the magic that happens when all of these elements intersect.
The experience will be accessible until November 9; until then, customers can buy a variety of digital collectibles and earn them by completing quests. In addition, Gucci Vault NFT holders, such as the SUPERGUCCI or Gucci Grail NFT, will receive an airdropped Gucci Vault Aura collectible to use to personalize their avatars in The Sandbox.
Gucci hasn’t stopped there since accepting crypto in its US stores and launching its first NFT collection, “SuperGucci.” Over time, it has been involved in several initiatives. The luxury fashion house recently began accepting ApeCoin via BitPay in its boutiques and invested $25,000 in SuperRareDAO to fund its Vault Art Space.
