With this collaboration, eBay brings together its worldwide reach and unrivaled inventory – as well as OneOf‘s environmentally aware Web3 technology – to provide a seamless experience that allows fans to purchase and sell high-passion, high-value assets with confidence.

The first of eBay’s “Genesis” NFT Collection, available beginning today at eBay.com/oneofgretzkynft, will feature 3D and animated interpretations of the iconic athletes featured on Sports Illustrated covers over the years, the first of which features record-breaking Canadian hockey legend Wayne Gretzky.
“Forty years ago, I was grateful to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated, it was a monumental moment in my life,” says Wayne Gretzky, Sportsman of the Year. “I’m honored to bring this collectible experience to my hockey fans who have followed my career for decades.”
The collection features 13 limited-edition digital collectibles in the green, gold, platinum, and diamond tiers, ranging from 299 editions in the green tier to just 15 editions in the diamond tier. Each NFT, which starts at $10, has a 3D rendering or animation of Gretzky doing a signature move on the ice.
Additional releases of OneOf’s sports legends NFT series will be released in collaboration with eBay throughout 2022, reinterpreting legendary Sports Illustrated covers in the Web3 age.
