Diesel, the iconic fashion brand, has joined forces with digital fashion house DressX to unveil a new virtual fashion line on Meta Avatars Store.
The collection mirrors Diesel’s real-world fashion offerings, encompassing 10 clothing pieces that include the brand’s iconic denim jackets, jeans, and sneakers.
Users can dress up their avatars with these fashion items and flaunt their virtual looks on various social media platforms — including Instagram, Facebook, Messenger — and even on Quest VR, Meta’s cutting-edge virtual reality headset.
The fashion collection will roll out in two phases. The initial release — already available — includes five outfits, while the second drop is slated for later this year.
This news comes hot on the heels of Diesel’s recent reveal of “Metamorph,” an NFT series boasting 300 animated digital collectibles. This unique collection features music by Senjan Jansen and art by Artificial Rome.
In another foray into the Web3 space, Diesel announced a partnership with the NFT project HAPE to release a one-of-a-kind NFT collection in December 2022.
On the DressX front, the company made waves in 2022 by collaborating with Warner Music Group. This collaboration allowed selected WMG artists to use DressX’s platform to craft their own 3D digital fashion collections.
DRESSX secured $15 million in a Series A funding round earlier in 2023. The company plans to use these funds to enhance its marketplace, bolster its digital assets, and nurture its growing community. In another move, DressX partnered with Meta in July to unleash its fashion digital creations on the Meta Avatar Store.
