Animoca Brands Japan’s non-fungible token (NFT) launchpad, “Sorah,” is gearing up for its inaugural sales on June 18, as per a press release shared with Cryptoflies.
Among the offerings on the launchpad’s debut is the San FranTokyo’s PFP NFT collection named “San FranTokyo Visions,” comprising 50 units priced at 0.085 ETH each, equivalent to roughly $300.
Additionally, two other collections are set to hit the platform for The Sandbox: the “Captain Tsubasa Team Collection” and the “Shibuya109 Fashion Collection,” each comprising 100 units priced at 60 MATIC, approximately $38.
The announcement of Sorah’s launch came in April, with Animoca Brands aiming to provide marketing support and a sales platform for Web3 projects, connecting Japanese intellectual property (IP) with the global community through manga and anime-inspired NFTs.
Sorah will support Ethereum and Polygon blockchains, offering creators tools for NFT sales and marketing. Moreover, the platform will introduce an NFT loyalty program.
This initiative is part of Animoca Brands’ broader mission to bolster Web3 adoption in Japan. Collaborating with MyAnimeList and San FranTokyo, the company emerged as a key launch partner for the Anime Foundation, a community-owned Web3 protocol catering to anime and manga fans.
In 2023, Animoca Brands Japan introduced an NFT collection featuring characters from the anime “Liar Liar” as exclusive eFigurines. Furthermore, the company partnered with the fantasy game Nine Chronicles M for various NFT sales in April. Recently, it rolled out “Fairy Tail” NFT cards, spotlighting 29 characters from the renowned manga series.
