Continuing its Web3 journey, AC Milan announces a collaboration with MonkeyLeague, a strategy-based Web3 esports game.
In the game, users can create and manage their team of MonkeyPlayer NFTs, compete against other players, climb ranks based on their achievements, and earn MonkeyBucks ($ MBS).
The collaboration between the Italian football club and the Web3-based game has resulted in an NFT collection tied to the game and branded AC Milan, including new MonkeyPlayers, skins, and stadiums.
The first drop of the collection will be auctioned off on MagicEden on October 6. Some AC Milan’s MonkeyPlayers NFT buyers will also get an authentic physical jersey autographed by the AC Milan team.
AC Milan has made its voice known several times since launching its first NFT initiative in April when it released a limited-edition 3D NFT of a special Rossoneri shirt from South Sudan. The ‘Born to Lead’ NFT collection, a series of one-of-a-kind digital artworks commemorating the club’s greatest moments, was unveiled in May. Meanwhile, the club just established a relationship with Sorare to focus on NFT fantasy football.
